Phone App Designs

We've created some exciting new apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Some are desigend to deliver existing creative content to new devices. Others, like mWine, are standalone apps with entirely new purposes.

mWine is a utility app offering a unique service. By typing in their food, any applicable sauces, and any extra flavors, a user can receive three recommended wine pairings. click above to see the full site which was designed to include a demo video and feedback link tied. Both the feedback and "Buy It" areas are tied in directly to iTunes. The supporting site, mymwine.com, was designed with the appearance of a wine list. To add to the effect, a wood table sits in the background of the content.




'The Waiting Room', an original web comic painted and written by Stephen Broome, is now available for your iPhone and iPod Touch. The app takes full advantage of several of these devices' visual features, including a high resolution screen and accurate touch sensitivity.

The navigation in this web comic is simple, offering page advance and reverse as well as the ability to jump to the cover or end of any given issue. Instead of using normally sized word balloon displays, the app offers a unique way to read dialogue and other text. By clicking on a series of ballons and caption icons in order, the relevant text is displayed in a text field at the top of the app. This not only ensures that the reading sequence is clear to even the newest of comic book readers, but allows as much room as possible for display of the full color artwork.

Web Designs

This holistic healing site is a CSS/html design with a fully integrated, PHP-based blog. A key feature for those who want a blog but also want a standalone website (as opposed to having a long url like www.wordpress.mywebsite.com is to find a designer who can customize the features and appearance of a blog to match those of the rest of the website. This gives a more professional, streamlined appearance. You don't want a generic blog design of course either, because it won't stand out. We can even set up your site so that sending an email to a specific email address automatically forwards the contents to your blog in a new post.

The company focuses on schools and other youth oriented fundraising and needed their web site optimized in order to bring in new customers. Site content focuses on database retrieval, product display and use of forms. Coalminds provided search engine optimization with the company's provided keyword phrases, and helped them narrow down their keywords to those with the best combination of likely use and increased traffic.
